A wideband signal source can contain many different signals of interest that must be processed further. Processing the entire wideband for every interesting signal is CPU intensive. The alternative is to extract the channels of interest from the received wideband source and process each narrow band of the signals individually. The NC-10 Channelizer takes advantage of RFEL’s powerful industry-leading channelization techniques. From a wideband source, you can extract hundreds of narrowband channels simultaneously on the FPGA. All channels are individually configurable in runtime in terms of center frequency, bandwidth, gain, and filtering.

The NC-10 Channelizer has two main parts: a host API and a compiled FPGA bitfile. No FPGA programming is needed.

FlexRIO Targets
The NC-10 for FlexRIO is a LabVIEW toolkit that helps LabVIEW users receive RF data through peer-to-peer streaming and send channel data to host or other peer-to-peer capable devices. Number of IQ channels that can be extracted differs between targets, data input rates and features enabled. PXIe-7915 supports 1024, 128 and 64 channels of IQ data PXIe-7975 supports 1024 and 512 channels of IQ data PXIe-7976 supports 512 channels of IQ data

USRP Target
The NC-10 for USRP has two versions that are both supported by USRP-2955/45 and NC-10 Server software. You can use NC-10 Server software to configure channels, view channel information, and listen to demodulated channels. You can run it as a service in Windows or as the fully functional GUI. The NC-10 for USRP LabVIEW Toolkit extracts 512 channels of IQ data from the RF front end of the USRP. The channelized data is sent via Ethernet by VITA 49.0 to user-defined target IP addresses.

The NC-10 for USRP with Demodulation extracts 256 channels of individually configurable IQ data, FM, AM, SSB, or CW demodulation. Extracted channelized data is sent via Ethernet by Novator Solutions’ arbitrary format to user-defined target IP addresses.
